Integration cases

Integration with Белмаркет

We ensured seamless integration of CartaMe mobile app users with the existing loyalty program of the Belmarket retail chain, built on the Set Loyalty accounting system, so that CartaMe users could automatically become program participants and start accruing rewards.

A distinctive feature of the project was that the Belmarket and Gippo retail chains operate within a single Set Loyalty environment. This required additional refinement of the integration logic to correctly handle user identifiers, prevent conflicts between loyalty programs within the shared environment, and ensure accurate routing of transactions to the specific chain.

The project objective was to enable a CartaMe mobile app user with a unified Loyalty ID to participate in the Belmarket loyalty program without double registration, with proper linking to the existing accounting environment, and without disrupting the operational logic of the unified Set Loyalty system.

As part of the project, we studied the Set Loyalty data structure, including the storage format for cards, transactions, and points accrual rules. We identified entry points for the external API and also made modifications to the external request handling module of Set Loyalty so that the system could correctly accept and recognize the CartaMe Loyalty ID as a valid participant identifier for the Belmarket loyalty program.

Additionally, in accordance with legal requirements, we implemented a separate consent collection mechanism, similar to the onboarding flow for the Khameleon program on the website. This allowed us to legally separate consents for participation in the loyalty program from consents for personal data processing, ensuring a transparent and controlled user journey.

For secure data exchange, we implemented two‑way token‑based authentication and encryption of sensitive data—including personal identifiers and balance information—during transmission via the API

Development stages

1
Studied the client's software
4 hrs
We conducted an audit of the existing software (front-end systems, ERP, databases), identified bottlenecks and areas for improvement. We built a dependency and protocol map. This enabled us to prepare the technical specification with zero risk of conflicts with legacy systems
2
We analyzed the specifics of the unified Set Loyalty environment for Belmarket and Gippo
5 hrs
We conducted a detailed analysis of the business logic of the two retail chains within the framework of a unified loyalty program on the Set Loyalty platform. We identified differences in bonus accrual rules, product reference data, and user scenarios. The result was a unified exchange schema that works for all participants across both chains without duplicating integrations
3
We refined the client's software
3 hrs
We made targeted changes to the client's software to support new API endpoints, encryption protocols, and exchange formats (JSON/XML)
4
We implemented API exchanges between servers for transmitting personal data and bonus transactions
5 hrs
We developed robust API bridges between the Belmarket and Gippo servers and the Set Loyalty core. We automated the transfer of personal data (registration, profile updates) and bonus transactions (accrual, write-off, rollback) in real time
5
We set up a separate consent collection framework in compliance with legislation
4 hrs
We separated the collection and storage of consent for personal data processing into an independent, protected module, isolated from the bonus logic
6
We developed security protocols
6 hrs
We implemented protocols with encryption, request signing, a role-based access model, and auditing of all actions. We organized secure channels between servers for transmitting sensitive data. Interception, tampering, and unauthorized access have been eliminated
7
We ensured protection against spam, phishing, and invalid requests
3 hrs
We configured multi‑layer filtering of incoming requests: rate limiting, referer validation, IP whitelist filtering, and anti‑bot mechanisms
8
We increased the system's resilience to high loads and large volumes of requests
1 hr
We optimized code, database indexes, and message queues. We implemented horizontal scaling, caching, and asynchronous processing of bulk bonus transactions. The system handles peak loads during sale hours without performance degradation or data loss
